THE MOST COST-EFFECTIVE AERIAL SNOW SENSOR AVAILABLE

THE SNOW OWL
HAS LANDED

During dry or warm weather, the system’s heaters are turned off to save energy costs. The heaters are turned on only when snow and/ or ice is present, and kept on only long enough to ensure complete melting and drying.

what is a snow melt sensor?

Snow Melt Sensors work to sense both moisture and low temperature.  When enough moisture and a low enough temperature are present together, a system can be turned on to melt that snow as it falls.  This is more efficient than waiting until it builds up.  Snow melt systems that the SNOW OWL can turn on range from electric heat trace on rooftops and in gutters to concrete buried hydronic systems, also concrete buried MI Cable heating systems.  The SNOW OWL is an aerial sensor, so it needs to be mounted  in the air.

U

why do i need a sensor?

The SNOW OWL and ETI family of snow sensors have been saving users money for over 57 years.  A snow melt system only needs to turn on when snow needs to be cleared.  Manually turning your snow melt system on in the Fall and off in the Spring is a huge waste of money. Let the SNOW OWL go to work for you today!
